This gorgeous shoot took place at the Bantry House and Garden, overlooking Bantry Bay in southwest Ireland, a historic setting that looks just like a painting by Sir John Lavery called “Riviera,” according to Tara Fay of Xena Productions. “He was an Irish artist best known for portraits in the early part of the 20th century in Ireland.”

So, as a group, photographer Lisa O’Dwyer, florist Jill Wild and Tara decided to plan the photo shoot around other Lavery paintings, partly because the stone house’s colors – gold, royal blue, green, turquoise and red – fit so well with the painter’s palette!

These wedding pros paid attention to creating tablescapes that can be recreated for large numbers of guests – not just one or two tables. They incorporated peacock feathers, pink and red flowers and greenery, plus touches of gold in the table decorations, reflecting the rich primary colors in the estate home.

The florals used in this editorial are mainly pink and red blooms in the arrangements, which are in relatively simple designs to invoke the idea as if they were plucked from the Bantry House’s lush gardens.

This Irish wedding editorial shoot had two cakes: one on top of the piano and the other on a rough-hewn wood table. The piano cake, by Cove Cake Design, has three distinct layers with textured white icing and floral decor. The cake on the table, by The Stuffed Olive, is a simple “naked cake,” with fruit and floral decorations on top.

For attire the bride model wears three different romantic looks featuring lace details and a dramatic veil. The groom model sports two looks: a classic black tuxedo with black bowtie and a less-formal slate-gray suit with plaid tie and vest!
