kumquat and dark teal wedding

From Eva Rieb Photography “Ultimately, I wanted a shoot that was edgy but also delivered all the pretty details we love oogling over so much. The end result was a mega styled shoot plan that would deliver two shoots in one day: the ‘kumquat shoot’ which would fill that want (need?) for something a little more rock’n’roll with all the pretty details and then the ‘romantic shoot’ for the soft side of weddings.

I could be happier with the results from this day of shooting – Kumquat and Dark Teal Wedding Inspiration at Dairyland!”

Umlaut and Ampersand KILLED it with the floral design for this shoot. I am still dying over her amazing work! Little kumquats everywhere, bold dark berries, white roses and TONS of greenery. She fabricated an incredible bouquet and the most stunning garland for the sweetheart table. The boutonnière was large and bold – so refreshing after a trend of smaller boutonnières in recent years. So much pretty!

Under the garland made by Umlaut and Ampersand was the most luscious white silk table runner from The Lesser Bear. The Lesser Bear also sent bold dark teal and the lightest of grey silk to finish Umlaut and Ampersand’s bouquet and boutonnière. The table, chairs, and other rental goodies were sourced from Vintage Ambiance. The chairs were the sweetest accent to the table – little metal chairs in vintage green and orange. I thought they were decorative but they were actually completely functional which I LOVED!”

“The gift that kept on giving while I edited all of the images from this shoot was the pie from Snohomish Pie Company. I enjoyed every single bite of this pie (and shared TONS of it with my two kiddos) with a giant smile on my face as this was the very pie that my husband and I had at our wedding seven years ago.

If you’re not a cake lover, consider pie. It keeps and travels well. The crust is so yummy. It pairs wonderfully with ice cream. It’s so dang American. Give me all the pie! You’ll see how beautiful it displays in the images– paired with some yummy fruit filled sangria… and here I go daydreaming of a summer evening.”
