From Victoria Isabel Photography “Industrial venues are often overlooked for their lack of windows, however, with the right vision, it can be very transitional. The overall style was to implement a modern theme but still keep the subtleness you usually find in a wedding!”

“With the creamy ranunculus in the florals, we were able to balance out the otherwise sharp and edgy feel seen on the deep, navy velvet tablescape. The clean walls and unfinished concrete floors are what created a natural bright atmosphere along with the reflections coming from the acrylic place cards and tapers candles.

Another key feature in the shoot was the Hayley Paige gown the model wore. The bodice was beaded in a geometric style that complimented the geometric shapes of both the table and cake while the skirt was soft creating fluidity.”

“We drew a tablescape from the geometric trend that is up and coming this season. A large part of the inspiration also came from reflections. The gold and acrylic accents created a bounce that reflected warm light from the candles. When combining the geometric and reflective elements, we then realized that the galaxy was very present and brought together the story of romance and sitting under the stars.

Playing along with the feel of romance and the galaxy, the cake was created to be a geode with soft hand painted details to represent shooting stars. The cake was then topped with a structure that paired with the table details and to show how a unique cake deserves a unique topper.”

“The flowers used were ranunculus, anemones, waxflower, geranium foliage, pussy willow, hydrangea, eucalyptus, ruscus, and thistle. Together they created subtle texture and blended with the surroundings.

The table was draped in navy velvet and adorned with gold elements which can be found in the geometric shapes, flatware, and chargers. To play on with the navy, the bride and groom’s place settings were complete with an ivory patterned plate and vellum menus. The floral centerpieces helped give the table the whimsical feel of a traditional wedding and the tapered candles, classic.”

“The Hayley Paige Jax gown complimented the overall flow of the shoot stunningly. The sweetheart bodice fit perfectly on the model and the crystal details played along perfectly with the reflection inspiration. We wanted to keep the groom bold so we had him dressed in a dark grey suit which contrasted well with the gown!”
